This notice describes the default eMasa GPS attendance model. Confirm the final GPS wording, retention period, and privacy contact before production use.
When Location Is Collected
eMasa requests browser GPS only when a user performs an attendance clock-in or clock-out action. The system does not continuously track staff location.
Why Location Is Collected
Coordinates are used to compare the attendance event against assigned work-location geofences and to support review of out-location or location-unavailable attendance records.
Who Can Access It
Access is limited to signed-in users viewing their own attendance context and authorized managers or administrators who need it for attendance review.
Third-Party Map Disclosure
Location detail dialogs may load OpenStreetMap embeds and links so users can inspect attendance coordinates. eMasa is hosted on Cloudflare and stores attendance records in Cloudflare D1.
Retention
GPS coordinates are attendance-event data. In v1, retention is review-only and administrators review GPS coordinate retention according to the client-approved schedule.
